Booker to Readers: Get Ready

What is Carol McCabe Booker working on now? That is the question we've fielded more than once recently about the author of two successful true crime books, The Waterman's Widow and The Farmer's Wife, both dug from deep in southern Maryland history.

Booker also wrote Cove Point on the Chesapeake: The Beacon, the Bay and the Dream, published, like her two crime books, by New Bay Books. Her book credits also include Shocking the Conscience: A Reporter's Account of the Civil Rights Movement, written with her husband, acclaimed journalist Simeon Booker; and Alone Atop the Hill: The Autobiography of Alice Dunnigan, Pioneer of the National Black Press (editor).

There are few more closely guarded secrets than Booker's next literary venture, but we managed to get a clue or two. And she even cast the mystery in the third-person:
